Multipanel UK manufacture and supply composite aluminium sheets for a range of different markets. The sheets are manufactured at a plant in Dover while the head office is based in Exeter.

The product is shipped all over the world through its network of distributors. Huge growth each year means everything must scale quickly and effortlessly.

The Challenge

With their head office and production facility at opposite ends of the country from each other, it was crucial that Multipanel’s telephone calls and data could be easily shared between their two offices. Further to this, Multipanel operate globally with salespeople across 20 different countries so our solutions had to traverse different time zones and technologies.

We have worked with Cobalt as our IT partner for 15 years. The newest Cloud system we have just installed has transformed the way we can communicate with our global customers. I didn’t believe at first, we could have a new system and cost savings, but the way the calls are routed not only does it give us better productivity, but it is also saving us money!

Working with Cobalt means we can do what we are good at and they bring new technology and systems to help us achieve our growth. We have created 100 new jobs in our Kent site in the last 5 years and our plans are big but achievable

The Solution

We installed high speed Leased Lines into both offices and then linked the sites together allowing staff on each site to work as a single business. We ensured sales calls from all over the world were routed directly to their account managers. We enabled calls to break out over different lines and numbers, and to be recorded for their country managers to review. We set up an app for the sales team mobiles that acts as an extension of the system. Wallboards and reporting aided Multipanel to monitor and constantly improve their performance across the globe.

By providing a fully inclusive support and maintenance contract for both their phones and their IT, Multipanel now have one point of contact for any issues, which guarantees our support whenever they need it.
